4/9/2018 We can help lessen your stress!Being in a collision can be extremely stressful. From filing a claim to finding the right body shop for your repairs, the entire ordeal can be quite time-consuming as well. At Jimmy Mack Customs, we are here to help ease the entire process!
The state of North Dakota does not require more than one estimate for vehicle repairs; however, state law also does not prohibit an insurance company from requesting more than one. With this in mind, your insurance company CANNOT dictate where you take your vehicle for repairs. The company may use one of three methods to determine the amount they will pay on your claim. The company may elect to settle your claim based upon the lowest of the estimates you have provided them. However, if you have the repairs done at the shop with the higher estimate, you could be responsible for the additional costs. The second method of settlement is to have the company adjuster prepare an estimate that you may take to any shop you desire. Generally, a body shop will work with the insured and negotiate rates for you. The third method involves you voluntarily agreeing to take the vehicle to a shop that your company has a special agreement with, known as a preferred shop. The company has agreed to let the preferred shop prepare the estimate and complete the repairs. Jimmy Mack Customs works with ALL insurance companies, and we prepare our estimates keeping what's best for the customer in mind! Jimmy Mack Customs utilizes CCC One estimating software. One of the perks with this product is the OpenShop portal, which allows us to communicate directly with many insurance companies and their claims departments. After writing the estimate, we can immediately send the estimate and photos to your insurance company, which expedites the entire claims process and gets our customers back on the road faster! If the unfortunate strikes and you end up in a fender bender, Jimmy Mack Customs would love to help you through the repair process! No appointments are needed for an estimate. We are open Monday-Thursday from 8am until 5:30pm, and Fridays from 8am-3pm.
